New werewolf abilities revealed from Skyrim Dawnguard DLC

A lot of people are focusing on the new vampire class when talking about Bethesda’s upcoming Dawnguard expansion for Skyrim, but fans of the werewolf quest in the game should be very happy as well – Dawnguard will bring a perk tree just for the werewolves!

As far as we know, this wasn’t unveiled in the first gameplay trailer for Dawnguard that Bethesda recently released. Todd Howard however, just loves talking about the game and when chatting to G4TV to promote the upcoming new content, he revealed that new abilities will be coming to the werewolves by way a new perk tree giving you brand new abilities.

One such ability that has already been revealed will be called Bestial Strength and that will give you a 25% increase in power when you become a werewolf. There’s also a cool looking perk called Gorging which will allow you to fill up your health meter as you feed on victims. A few other perks we have spotted will be called Animal Vigor, Totem of Terror and Savage Feeding – but that’s just some of them there are still a lot more.

It’s great to see that aside from the new vampire and Dawnguard quest lines that they have added, they have also found time to give some more love to the werewolf class. If the term ‘frost elves’ mean anything to you, you may also be interested to hear that Todd Howard remained silent when the interviewer asked him if they had made it into Dawnguard.

As we told you in our earlier article, Dawnguard will add a total of 10-20 hours of new gameplay content to the already vast world of Skyrim. Now that a new werewolf perk tree has been confirmed, are you now tempted to try this out first before activating the new Dawnguard and vampire quests? Let us know what you’ll be choosing on June 26.
