While many of you will be quick to dismiss RIM as a front runner in the mobile device market, arguably so, they are still a multi-billion dollar producing manufacturer. Yesterday we brought you news that the company was being forced to make setbacks due to targets not being met.
Job cuts and improved business strategies are a good place to start in order for the company to get moving forward with momentum again, but is that enough? According to the Forbes article this is just the beginning and things could get worse before getting better for the BlackBerry producers.
The article points out a list of issues RIM must face and probably the most daunting although seemingly the best opportunity to get going again would be to release a product that will accommodate those that won’t find the Verizon iPhone 5 ideal for them.
This puts pressure on the company’s North American business as they will need to satisfy their business orientated customers who find BlackBerry’s are best suited for their lifestyles, while many of those who prioritize business found the iPhone 4 was not ideal.
The list of issues pointed out in the article also includes the fact that RIM will miss the North American back to school season. Check out what other points were made by clicking the link above. Do you agree that things could get worse for RIM? What do you think the company should do to up their share in the market?
