Keeping up with the latest sports news has been made so much easier thanks to the huge choice of sports apps out there. However, many of them are not ideal because you will be inundated with too much news that sifting through them could take too long. However, the latest BBC Sport app update has now made things a little easier thanks to its new top stories widget.
Let’s say you are into your football and like to stay up-to-date with the latest transfers, injuries and results; this can often take you ages because these stories are often buried. While many apps allow you to get this sort of information from one place, the options are limited to either set up push notifications and receives a huge amount of updates, or to keep opening the app up and checking manually.
Thankfully, this latest BBC Sport update now addresses that issue by bringing a new Top Stories widget, allowing you to only read the most popular stories that interest you, which will be found in the Notification Centre.
This means you can quickly read over the story headlines that are of most interest to you. Having said that, some of those headlines can be too short, making it difficult to get the gist of the story.
Other improvements include the ability to set push alerts, various stability improvements, and a Chromecast fix for the Android version.
