New Slingbox M1 upgrade lowers price

We have some great news for those of you who are Slingbox fans as we can tell you that a new Slingbox M1 upgrade has just been announced by Sling Media. Your current Slingbox 350 and 500 models are getting replaced by a new Slingbox for 2014 and it could be an upgrade that is well worth your investment.

The big addition to the Slingbox M1, is that it comes with built-in 2.4/5Ghz WiFi support, as well as an included Ethernet port on top. Furthermore, those buying the Slingbox M1 no longer need to pay monthly fees, as the new Slingbox M1 price is a one-off $149.99 payment.

To make the upgrade an easy decision, Sling Media has also announced a great upgrade program. Those who already own a current box, i.e. the original Slingbox, Slingbox 500, Slingbox 350, Slingbox PRO-HD, Slingbox SOLO, Slingbox PRO, Slingbox AV or Slingbox TUNER products can upgrade to the new Slingbox M1 or SlingTV with $30 off from the asking price.

Slingbox M1 is also easier than ever to set-up for new customers with companion apps available on Android and iOS straight out of the box. Those who own Apple TV boxes can also use Slingbox M1 to view content on Apple’s device via a second screen.

Most of you will be asking yourselves if the upgrade is worth it, but it’s nice to see Sling Media offering $30 credit right away to make the decision less stressful. If you are a long-time Slingbox user, let us know your thoughts on the new M1 and if you are willing to upgrade – details on the upgrade program specifically can be seen here.
