New Samsung Galaxy and Ativ devices to counter WWDC 2013

If you thought Samsung was satisfied with the successful release of the Galaxy S4, then you would be mistaken, as they have plans to release yet more new devices, which we previously discussed. Samsung is to hold an event on June 20, which is just over a week after WWDC 2013.

We assume that the new Samsung Galaxy and Ativ devices are being unveiled to counter whatever Apple has to offer, although we’re not certain if they will be competing markets. We say this because we only expect Apple to unveil details of iOS 7, along with a possible MacBook Air and Pro refresh.

As for a new iPad or iPhone, then we wouldn’t hold our breath, as these are unlikely to be released until the fall.

So what are these new Samsung Galaxy and Ativ devices are? We know that their Galaxy device will make use of the Android OS, while Ativ could either be Windows Phone, Windows 8 or RT. So we could be talking new smartphones, tablets or laptops, which could be a possible rival to the MacBook after all?

We could get details of the new Samsung Galaxy S4 mini release, as some images had recently been leaked of the handset? Then again, we could see some of the other rumored Galaxy S4 models being released, such as the waterproof or camera models?

Samsung Press Conference Time — The June 20 event is to begin at 2 PM Eastern Time, with a live stream to be made available on Samsung’s YouTube channel.

You have to admire Samsung for bringing new devices, but we can’t help wonder if they are spamming the market a little? Having said that, if their products were not needed, then we wouldn’t purchase them would we?

What do you expect Samsung to announce, and do you believe their product range has become far too confusing?
