New rumored iPad 3 features emerge

When Apple released the iPad 2 last year it came with the new feature of having front and rear cameras. Now as we near a possible new version being released we are hearing a number of reports suggesting release timeframes and possible price levels. Today we have some new rumored iPad 3 features that have emerged.

Whenever Apple releases a new product you can expect them to upgrade the specifications of the old model. Now there is talk that the next iPad will receive upgraded cameras, and according to a report the front facing unit will go HD. Sources are claiming that the back camera had a visibly larger hole size, and could be a five megapixel unit from the iPhone 4, or an eight megapixel shooter similar to the iPhone4 S.

The same source also supported early reports that the iPad 3 would be slightly thicker to make room for some new components. These are thought to be dual LED backlights to provide enough light for the 2048 x 1536 display. Mainly though the design is thought to be mainly similar to the current model.

While you have to remember this is only speculation, the source is suggesting the new iPad will release nearer to the March timeframe of the iPad 2. There has been talk a new iPad will be with us by next month, but it is thought Apple wouldn’t want to release a new model so soon after consumers may have just picked up an iPad 2.

Again it is thought new A6 processors will be powering the device, and could be either a dual or quad core unit. This would help apps run more smoothly on the higher resolution display that is rumored to be coming.

Are you bothered about having a better camera on the iPad?
