New Range Rover SVO extreme off-road models

Ever since Jaguar Land Rover got the cash injection it needed from Tata Motors, the company has been on the up, and even with a potential strike looming, the company is still on for a positive year ahead for 2015. The reason for this is thanks to an AWD Jaguar F-Type, next generation Jaguar XF, XJ and SUV, as well as new Range Rover SVO extreme off-road models.

The Special Vehicle Operations division has yet to say exactly what model Range Rovers will get the skunkworks treatment, but we cannot wait to find out. This is because an all-out off-road version of the Range Rover would be one welcomed by the fans. We know some of you will think there would not be a huge audience for people to take their SUV in extreme off-road conditions seeing as though they paid a small fortune for their vehicle, but you would be surprised.

New Range Rover SVO

There are already several clubs for Land Rover/Range Rover owners to get their vehicles extremely muddy by going off-road, and we are not just talking about driving across a muddy field, we are talking about getting right in the thick of it, much like we have seen on episodes of Top Gear and Fifth Gear.

We expect these extreme off-road vehicles to be stripped out versions of their road going siblings and to see many of its parts replaced, such as jacked up suspension, knobbier tires, reinforced underbody with skid plates to take more punishment, as well as a more durable interior, as we know the cabin of an SVO Range Rover would take some punishments as well.

Details are still very scarce, although more information on this news can be found on Auto Express.
