New Operation: Red River Trailer Shows Gameplay Footage

The new trailer for Operation Flashpoint: Red River has been released which grants fans of the series a sneak peak look-in to some gameplay footage and also the chance to get to know how the story unfolds in April’s big hit.

In other posts previously we told you about the release date and the preview of the game which brought you a first glimpse of how the game will look. This new trailer however gives more details about the plot, we have embedded the trailer at the end of this post.

For those that didn’t know, the game is set in Tajikistan where a civil war has broken out and the video introduces Sergeant William Kirby, a prolific marine that will take the battle to the Chinese after they enter the battle to remove the US. The video first reflects upon Kirby’s thoughts on the war and his involvement, it is made clear of the dangers that gamers will face on this battlefield.

The video also suggests that this game will not just be a “Wild West Showdown” but will be a more tactical and dangerous battle with tanks and aircraft added into the mix. The game mentions 9/11 which some viewers have mixed opinions on because some say that it is good to add the realism of the current conflicts and others think it is merely cynical and unnessecary.

The video shows various stages of gameplay however there is no real description given as to what the game will actually enable you to do as yet. Watch the video below and tell us what you think of some of the themes in the story and if it look like a good game for you?
