New Nexus 7 anticipated today, pre-order and unboxing video

Isn’t it funny that Google has yet to make an official announcement in regards to the new Nexus 7, yet the sequel is already up for pre-order on a Best Buy. Not only that, but there’s also a Nexus 7 2 unboxing video, which we have for you above.

That’s not all, there’s also a selection of images as well, which you can see for yourself here. We have to point out that there is no speaking in this video unboxing, maybe he was too excited about having the Nexus 7 2-gen in his hands, or was just camera shy? However, we’re sure you won’t care about those minor details, just as long as you can see what the latest tablet from the Google and ASUS partnership has to offer.

According to a news report we’re expected to see the second-generation Nexus 7 announced today, ahead of its release at the end of this month, so not long to wait. The 2013 Nexus 7 should come pre-installed with Android 4.3, but the biggest change will be the rear-facing camera.

Anti-climatic Nexus 7 2 unveil — For most of the year there has been a massive amount of hype for the new Nexus 7, and so we had hoped to see a huge deal made out of today’s unveil. However, we know things have a way of going wrong, and this is exactly what has happened. The problem is, there have been several Nexus 7 leaks showing images, a hands-on video, and also specs, so what does Google have left to show?

If we are to believe the latest reports, then the Nexus 7 2 specs looks set to be a minor upgrade on the current model. There’s the new display with its 1920 x 1200 resolution and 323ppi pixel density, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 8064 CPU, and 2GB of RAM. There’s also a 5-megapixel camera and 16GB and 32GB storage options.

The Nexus 7 for 2013 price is expected to be $229.99 for the 16GB model (pre-order here) and $269.99 for the 32GB version (pre-order here).

While we have no reason to doubt these latest details, you can never be too certain, and so we will just have to wait until later today (hopefully) to see if all what we know is true or not.
