We first started to hear about Napster when it was available as a download for the PC or Mac, and was a service that provided MP3 file sharing via peer-to peer.
Now you can get the Napster app from the App Store, for all Apple iOS devices such as the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch that run on the version 3.0 or later of the iOS.
The app is free because the service that Napster offers is on a subscription basis, which costs $10 per month and is at the moment only available to customers in the U.S. It also is mainly an on-demand service allowing you access to as much as 10 million songs.
This app is version 1.0, which lets you instantly stream and listen to your favorite tunes, as many times as you like, and whether being something modern or an old classic.
If you wanted to you are able to compile and save playlists, albums and songs for offline listening. If you want to know more about this new Napster app, then head on over to Engadget and read the story written by Louis Choij.
The full features and download can be found via the Apple iTunes Store here. Have you tried the Napster app for iOS?
