New Mario Kart 8 TV commercial

We have a great heads-up for all Mario Kart 8 fans now, ahead of the highly anticipated and somewhat stress-relieving Mario Kart 8 release date of May 30.

We recently gave you a confirmation of the full Mario 8 character list that had been revealed so far, including new entries for Koopa’s entire lineup of children from the Super Mario Bros 3 game and anime.

Now, we switch our attention to the latest new Mario Kart 8 TV commercial, which has just aired and highlights upside down driving as one of the new core features of the game.

You’ll also be able to catch a glimpse of Mario and Luigi being able to fully race on walls for the first time in the series and Nintendo even promises that every single item in the game has been ‘insanely tested’.

Speaking of items, one of the new additions is going to be a Piranha Plant, which players can use to either gobble up other drivers, or clear obstacles off the track such as banana skins for a safer ride.

Check out the latest trailer below and let us know your expectations of Mario 8. How many of you have already decided to buy a Wii U console just to play this game?
