New MacBook Pro 2013 could have blazing fast WiFi

While the gaming community are bracing themselves for some monumental announcements from Sony and Microsoft as part of E3 2013 on June 10, the tech world is equally as excited to find out the new surprises that Apple has in store for the world at WWDC 2013, which will also be taking place on the same day.

Being held at the Moscone Center as what has now become tradition, it looks like a new 2013 MacBook Air laptop is going to be one of the standout highlights at the event. We discussed the likelihood of this happening in a previous report here, but now fresh details are emerging on what potential features a new MacBook Air may possess.

The guys over at 9to5Mac have suggested that new faster WiFi could be an included feature of a new MacBook Air. The device could be equipped with the new faster 802.11ac WiFi standard, which would allow for fast HD movie streaming, improved file downloads and general file transfers.

This new faster WiFi could come along with already rumored 2013 MacBook Air features, which include a 1080p front camera with 1080p video capabilities, a dual-microphone system and support for Intel’s new 4th generation Core processors. Interestingly, there doesn’t appear to be many details on what new design a MacBook Air refresh will adopt – which of course keeps the surprise element intact nicely.

The MacBook Air continues to be a laptop geared towards the premium consumer, so let us know if you are still willing to make your annual refresh, if Apple plans to stick to their same pricing strategy. Assuming that a refresh is coming, would you opt for the 11-inch or the 13-inch model?
