New MacBook Pro: 10 hours of battery life and 512 SSD

The new MacBook Pro range is finally here and with them comes a host of new features, which you can read more about in our specs and price post from earlier today. One of the main areas where the new Pro benefits from is its hard drive and battery life.

The battery life on the 13-inch MacBook pro will last up to 10 hours, with the 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pro versions lasting up to 8 to 9 hours. This is a huge leap forward in battery technology, and with more than 1000 charges, the battery lifespan will last three times longer than the previous model.

Apple has incorporated a new Adaptive Charging technology, which is what makes the battery last much longer — so the new MacBook Pro is better for the environment.

Apple has also upgraded its storage capacity on the new range of MacBook Pros. Not only is there larger standard hard drives available but also a new larger 512GB solid-state drive (SSD). Now you have no excuse for running out of storage space or power.
