It looks as if Apple are really pulling out all of the stops this year with regards to wowing consumers with multiple hardware refreshes.
We already know that new iPhones and Apple Watches are on the way this year, but now more details are arriving on the affordable ‘entry-level’ MacBook Air which Apple are also tipped to be introducing at some point before the end of the year.
A new report from Bloomberg goes on record to say that the new MacBook Air is definitely on the way, and that specs will include a 13-inch display, a thinner bezel design and perhaps most significantly, will feature a retina display for the first time.
You may have forgotten the fact that the MacBook Air still doesn’t have a Retina display, as Apple recently has been focusing on strengthening the Pro line which now offer a Retina display on all models.
If Apple are planning to introduce an affordable MacBook Air, it will be interesting to see the price point and how much cheaper it will be from the already somewhat expensive $1000 13-inch model that Apple sells currently.
A Retina display and the same ultra portability would still make it a big hit among buyers, so let us know your thoughts on this as a current MacBook Air user and if you would upgrade to the latest model if the price is right.
