New iTunes 10.0.1: Download Live on PC and Mac

iTunes 10.0.01 has just been released by Apple for both Mac and Windows. The latest version has a new sidebar for Ping in iTunes. This will make it easier for users to share their music with family and friends, and some bugs have been fixed.

Taimur Asad of Redmond Pie is reporting that users can now Post or Like music straight from their iTunes library. Recent activity of an artist in a user’s library can be viewed, as well as all artists and friends you follow on Ping.

A number of bugs have been fixed which include, a fix for iTunes which can suddenly quit when interacting with album artwork, sorts an issue when picture quality of a video changes depending on whether the on screen controls are visible, and much more.

The iTunes update comes with some new features including rent HD TV episodes for only $0.99, and watch them on your Mac or PC, or using your iPhone or iPod Touch. You can now play music wirelessly with AirPlay on AirPlay enabled speakers, home theater receivers and iPod accessories.
