New iPod Touch 2010: iPhone 4 wannabe

Earlier today we mentioned a rumor surrounding the new 2010 iPod Touch, now that I have taken a look at these features I have to say that it reminds me of the iPhone 4. The only thing missing will be the phone call side of things — although Skype can pretty much handle that side of things as well.

USA Today reports that the rumor came to them via Electricpig, with John Lewis being the main source. The retailer stated that Apple would continue with what they have done in the past by having an event in September for a new version of the iPod Touch.

Oh we know that the rumors suggest a 5-megapixel camera along with a front-facing one just like the fourth-generation iPhone — it too comes with an LED flash. This means that the iPod Touch could also come with FaceTime, although we are not certain how this will work as the iPhone requires information from your cell carrier.

Apple seems to be keeping with tradition of making the iPod Touch a lot like is sibling — although we are not certain if it will come with the same processor and RAM. The only other thing that remains is the price — if the iPhone 4 is anything to go by then we can tell you to expect to pay a little more.
