A fun new game that has users brushing clouds away to make a sunny day has just been released for owners of the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Walking On Sunshine 1.0 is based on the classic pop hit of the same name by Katrina & The Waves.
Released by New York based Primary Wave Music the game has users brushing away the gray clouds with their power swipes. They can take control of the wind and follow patterns to gain extra sunlight which helps the earth grow strong again. Scores can shared via the online leaderboard or Facebook.
The game has been released in time for the 25th anniversary of the “Walking On Sunshine” smash hit that was a top ten song on the Billboard hot 100 back in 1985. There is a specially recorded version of the song by the famed South African Soweto Gospel Choir featured in the game.
The choir has previously recorded with artists such as Bono, Paul Simon, Queen, Peter Gabriel, and Robert Plant. A free demo flash-based version is available on the Primary Wave Games website.
Walking On Sunshine 1.0 is on the App Store for only $0.99. iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch required with OS 3.1 or later.
