New iPhone Avatar Builder: PhotoAvatar 1.2 for March 2010

PhotoAvatar 1.2 a new app that allows users to transform a picture of themselves into a realistic 3D alien avatar has been launched. Available for iPhone and iPod Touch devices the app is ideal for user’s online double life.

Developed by MotionPortrait, the app can create an alien avatar by using the iPhone camera, or choosing one from the users own library. PhotoAvatar 1.2 has three different alien races to choose from, each having its own in-movie voice and action.

Users can share their avatar with friends via Facebook and Twitter by using it as their profile picture. The avatar can be brought to life just by simply shaking the device or tapping the screen. The app comes in many languages including, US English, French and Japanese. To use the camera functions the device must be equipped with a camera, or library images may be used otherwise. PhotoAvatar 1.2 is $0.99 on the App Store. OS 3.0 or later required.
