New iPhone App: Aircraft Carriers of the US Navy

A new app that allows users to get the history and full specs of US Navy aircraft carriers commissioned between 1921 and 2009 has been released for owners of the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.

Released by New York based MultiEducator the app contains a total of 67 ships with hi-res photos and histories. A contents page includes a search field, an overview chapter, and 65 chapter listings that can be easily scrolled.

Tapping on a particular ship brings up official US Navy photographs which can be saved or shared with others. All the information is stored on the device so no internet connection is needed. The app contains more than 420 high-res photo’s that can be viewed in detail on the iPad screen.

Aircraft Carriers of the US Navy 1.0 is on the App Store for only $1.99. Requires iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad with OS 3.1.3 or later.
