There have been a number of reports regarding Apple iPad sales figures, and it seems that the tablet has been selling at a much faster rate then the original iPhone did back in 2007. However, three years is a long time in the world of technology, as a result, if and when the new iPhone 4G launches this summer then those strong tablet sales will be seriously affected.
The original article on the iPad pre-order sales was written by WSJ — in which they reported that the three-month sales would outdo the original iPhone. PC World has now weighed in to offer their two cents, saying that they do not care if the iPad beats iPhone sales.
They argue that we can go ahead and compare the iPhone with the likes of the Droid, Nexus One and other smartphones — but we should not even consider comparing it to a completely different device. The website goes on to say comparing the iPad to the iPhone is like pitting the Sony PS3 with one of their Vaio laptops you just would not do it.
Do you think that we should compare the iPad to the iPhone?
