New iPhone 4G: Social Networking iGroups Patent

Some major news to bring you regarding the iPhone and possible iPhone 4g release this Summer, as it has been confirmed that Apple are working on a new social media application called ‘iGroups’.

As reported from PatentlyApple, a new patent from Apple has been discovered, explaining just how the new communications app will work.

It is thought that the service will be used primarily on the iPhone and iPhone 4G, but also on MobileMe – another app-based service by Apple.

From what we gather from the patent, iGroups will allow you to stay in close contact with a group of friends, with a live hub directing all messages you send into one place for easy access.

PatentlyApple states that iGroups uses a new type of technology which involves a cryptographic key generation system, which will ensure that private data is maintained in a safe place.
