We already know the US prices of the new iPhone 4, but those in the UK have only just learned what they will be paying. Let us compare the US and UK iPhone 4 16GB and 32GB price to see how much they differ by — although we already know that those in the United Kingdom will be ripped off once again.
Firstly the U.S. price for the 16GB is $599 with the 32GB version costing $699, the conversion on this would be £406 and £474 respectively. Now let us look at how much the actual UK price is — The 16GB version will cost £499 and the 32GB model has a price of £599.
We can see that the UK still has to pay a much higher price than the U.S.; this is something that has been going on for some time now. We do not put the blame on Apple — this has something to do with the government and the huge amount of taxes that they impose.
Are you happy with these prices or will you choose to go onto a contract? Many people have been put off with an iPhone contract as they run for 18 to 24 months — this means that they cannot upgrade to the next iPhone unless they are prepared to pay a premium for it.
