We still have no official information from HTC in regard to their phablet that is set to go head-to-head with the Galaxy Note 3. However, we do know that the new HTC One Max will be on show during the same event as the Note 3, which is IFA 2013.
New HTC One Max visualized — More details have now come to light, which is being discussed in the video above and it is clear that HTC is having an issue keeping their larger device a secret, or is it all part of their marketing strategy to raise public awareness?
There have already been several leaked images of the HTC One Max, as well as early renders, and now we are getting to hear some of those HTC One Max specs. If we are to believe the specs the handset will come with a quad-core 2.3GHz Krait 400 CPU a 5.9-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 330 GPU, the same 4MP UltraPixel rear-facing camera and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Let us hope that the HTC One Max will be able to deliver, just as the middle size version has. However, the device will have a tough task ahead if it has any hope of competing with the Galaxy Note 3, which we expect to be the phablet of choice. The HTC One Max will also be a rival to the Butterfly S.
The HTC One Max price will play a major role in determining its success, although with the mini version of the handset being a little too expensive, we fear HTC will shoot themselves in the foot once again.
As for the HTC One Max release date, this information and more should be revealed to us next month during IFA 2013.
