New Haswell MacBook Pro or low price now

The new MacBook Pro release date could be looming, or are we reading too much into things as it might just be a low price for now? We’re seeing from several online retailers that the price of the early MacBook Pro 2013 model has been reduced in price.

Best Buy has reduced several models, with savings of $100 – $200. However, this is nothing compared to MacMall because we are seeing a saving of $600 for the Intel Core i5 2.5GHz 13.3-inch model.

This might be a coincidence since we have seen MacBook Pro price drops like these before, then assumed the refresh was soon to be released.

Having already discussed a possible MacBook Pro Retina with Haswell release date, we might have to reconsider what we said due to an article on Apple Insider.

We assumed that the Haswell Macbook Pro 2013 release date would be in October at the same time as the new iPad launch, and not September because this is when Apple should release their new iPhone/iPhones.

Apple Insider has learned from sources that Haswell-based MacBook Pros are already in production and will be launched during the iPhone event on September. If this is the case, then those latest price reduction would make sense, as those retailers aim to shift their current inventory.
