It had to happen, and shortly after the news broke about Grand Theft Auto V releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2014 a fan created a quick video with the new trailers side-by-side. We went hands-on with Watch Dogs for PS4 over a good 10 hours exploring this new open world game on a new generation console, and while it impressed us we felt a longing for GTA V on PS4 as well.
The GTA V vs. Watch Dogs video comparison isn’t the best quality and lacks 1080P resolution, but at least it gives gamers a quick look at how the trailers compare, especially considering PS4 and Xbox One users have Watch Dogs already. It is hard for GTA V to be matched after years building the franchise and learning with each success and failure during development over generations.
If you’re playing Watch Dogs on PS4 or Xbox One right now, will you likely jump to GTA V when it releases in fall? We have a feeling a lot of new generation console owners will want to see how much better the enhancements are compared to last generation. The graphics will certainly improve, if this new GTA V trailer is anything to go on.
Take a look at the updated graphics in GTA V against Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs open world title in the video below, or take a look at each trailer separately in a higher resolution in the two videos below the GTA V vs. Watch Dogs trailer. We have included the Watch Dogs launch trailer for the separate video.
Personally, we feel that Watch Dogs has some great graphics overall and is similar to GTA V, but it fails overall in comparison to Rockstar’s game and as such we can’t wait to play GTA V on PS4/XB1 later this year along with the so-called “enhancements”. What would you like to see improved with PC, PS4, and XB1 versions of GTA V?
