A new generation Scorpio is to be unveiled in a few days time, and we have already been teased with a video, although you don’t get to see too much. However, we did see two new images of the new Scorpio a couple of days ago, which helped show off a few changes. It’s these changes that worry us because they come at a price.
The new Mahindra Scorpio is set to see a price increase in India of around Rs 30,000-50,000 compared to the current model. We are used to seeing price increases to allow for new features and technology on an all-new model, but some drivers in India will see this as a bit steep.
We cannot be certain if it will be a Mahindra Scorpio 2014 model, or if the company will go with 2015 seeing as though we are now in the last few months of the year?
What has increased the price of the Mahindra Scorpio? There are various changes to its exterior, although nothing major. However, Mahindra has said that the interior will be even more luxurious than before, which is to include a completely new instrument cluster and steering-mounted controls.
Let’s hope that Mahindra does not disappoint with the launch of the new Scorpio this week.
