Now this is exciting. Gears of War fans all over the globe will be wondering just what Epic are up to after Cliff Bleszinksi clarified that fresh new information regarding the franchise will be made public when the VGAs go live next week. A Kinect-releated release perhaps? We think so.
You may have already heard that Epic do not intend to use Kinect’s motion sensing controls with Gears of War 3, but we have it on good authority that Microsoft are using the upcoming Video Game Awards show in Los Angeles to showcase some of the stuff Kinect can do, including some new big action games.
Now that Epic have confirmed that there will be big Gears of War announcement, more speculation and rumor comes to the fore. Whether or not it will a new Gears of War game for Kinect, or an existing game, retro-fitted for the camera controller we do not know.
You want proof huh? Check out the video here via Spike who are hosting the VGA’s on Saturday, December 11 at 8pm ET / 5pm PT.
Question is, what could the announcement be? Do you want a brand new Gears of War game with support for Kinect? Or a re-hash of an existing game that integrates the use of Kinect’s motion controller? You might even prefer neither.
