New Galaxy Nexus bug emerges after update ahead of US release?

Shortly after UK consumers could get their mitts on the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus, many owners were met with an awkward sound issue. To recap owners could be making a call before the sound in the earpiece would suddenly begin to drop. This was reportedly fixed thanks to a recent over-the-air update being pushed out. Now today we have news of a new Galaxy Nexus bug that has emerged after the update, and ahead of a US release.

There is growing speculation the Galaxy Nexus will be released to US consumers this coming Friday, as recently there were reports that UPS had begun delivering the device to Verizon stores. Than earlier today we told you about Verizon preparing product URLs. But know a possible new software bug as surfaced according to Phandroid.

One of their readers sent in a video that can be seen below, which shows that some screen touches are not being picked up correctly. In the video the camera goes on snapping away at will, and once the feature is exited the camera gallery scrolls through all the taken images on its own.

The users messaging application is also shown starting up on its own, and a series of keystrokes are produced without the screen even being touched by anyone. The user says these problems only happen when the handset is plugged in via a USB port.

It is not known if this problem is a wide spread one or just down to a faulty handset or corrupted operating system, but many consumers seeing all these issues with the Galaxy Nexus may think twice before purchasing the device.

Are you being put off by the problems with the Galaxy Nexus?
