New Ford Mustang UK price comparable to A5 and 4-series

There’s currently no new Ford Mustang option for those living in the UK, but all that will change with the introduction of 2014 Ford Mustang, which is due to go on sale some time next year. The muscle car is currently being tested, and even though it will be smaller and lighter, the European model will still have that certain something to give it mass appeal.

In the past, these vehicles have not done too well in the UK and other parts of Europe, because of their big, thirsty engines. Ford understands this, and so will be bringing a smaller, four-cylinder engine, instead of the brute that takes up center stage under the hood of its American counterpart.

2014 Ford Mustang UK price — The exact price is not known to us just yet, but we presume it will be around £26,000 for the entry-level model, which will be comparable to the Audi A5 and the BMW 4-Series. However, there will be more powerful options, which will be able to compete with the Audi RS5 and BMW M4.

Going back to the smaller engine; don’t be fooled by the four-cylinder engine, as this will be a 2.3-liter unit capable of pushing out around 350 horsepower, which is all thanks to Ford’s Ecoboost technology. The American version will make use of a more-powerful V8 option, which will no doubt have a much throatier tone to the engine.

Some purists have complained that the smaller four-cylinder will not prove popular, as Ford also tried this back in the 1970’s. However, we think that they need to stop living in the past because technology has changed, and so there is no need to have such a huge, gas-guzzling engine anymore.

Okay, so it’s not going to have that same sound like you get from a V8, but we don’t live in the 70’s anymore, even F1 has realized this, and will also lose a few cylinders from next season.
