New Droid RAZR release date and wallpaper download

We would just like to clarify the situation for eager fans who were looking forward to picking up the Motorola Droid RAZR on November 10. We have now learned that the device will be releasing one day later, thanks to a new video teaser that Motorola and Verizon have released.

It turns out that the Droid Razr will now launch on November 11, and wait for it at 11.11am as well, giving Motorola’s latest flagship Droid a 11/11/11 launch day – the same date as one certain Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim game as well for fans who are familiar with that franchise.

Anyway, the news was confirmed in a video teaser that we have included for you below. It makes a big emphasis on how thin the RAZR will be (7.1 mm), and the fact that it comes with rugged materials such as Kevlar on the back and a Gorilla Glass display screen, by cutting through various objects that you can see in the video.

The RAZR certainly is a very good alternative to the Galaxy Nexus and HTC Rezound, and don’t forget that it has already been confirmed to be getting an update to Ice Cream Sandwich at some point in the future.

On a side note, those of you who are not getting the Droid RAZR, but would like another taste of the device other than the boot animation that we showed you during the week, we now have some official Droid RAZR wallpapers for you to download, courtesy of Droid-Life. The download file is here and it is a zip file containing no fewer than 26 high quality images for you to put on your current Android handset if it’s looking a little dull at the moment.

Have you already pre-ordered a Droid RAZR or have you decided to go for another Android handset, like the Galaxy Nexus?
