New Chrysler 2014 recall list includes Ram models

After the crisis involving the Takata airbag recall a few weeks ago, we have another major recall that has just been announced. It affects Chrysler models and we can now bring you a heads-up on the new Chrysler 2014 recall list which includes RAM models.

It’s no secret that Chrysler’s RAM trucks are some of Chrysler’s most popular vehicles and it’s surprising to see another high profile recall so soon after the airbag problems.

The NHTSA has deemed it necessary to give the official warning though, as you can see on their website which we’ve included a screenshot showing the Chrysler RAM recall affected models.

As you can see, they include the Chrysler RAM 2500, 3500, 4500 and 5500 truck models. The exact problem that NHTSA has identified relates to the electrical connectors of the diesel fuel heater on these models overheating.

If you are an owner of any of the trucks listed above, you need to know that the important manufacture dates are from March 27, 2009, to September 5, 2013.

Considering that this is a fire risk, it is completely understandable why an official recall has been issued. If you have been caught up in this, it’s important to contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403 before December 5 2014 to seek information and how to solve this problem.

Let us know if you own any of the RAM trucks above. Were you aware that the electric connectors on your motor may be causing a fire risk?
