The build-up to the new BMW Mini launch is in full swing, as we already know some of the engines to be used in the Cooper variant, and filming of new TV commercials have also taken place as well. However, we still have a few weeks to wait to see just what these ads are like, and also what to expect from the new Mini design, although we have seen a few sneaky images.
BMW’s new Mini launch date is very soon, well November 18, 2013 to be precise. The commercials will go out at the same time as the unveiling to get the best kind of media attention, but no doubt there will be a heavy social campaign for the 2014 Mini, like we have seen form other car makers in the past, such as the popular Toyota Corolla.
Looking on the BMW Blog we can see the Mini launch campaign will center on tongue-in-cheek stories, which BMW say helps to highlight the driving fun to be had with the Mini refresh. However, they will also help to highlight the bond between the driver and their new vehicle.
BMW used BSSP, the creative agency based in San Fransisco. They have included a very special character in the commercials, a Bulldog, which will help to highlight this very British car, even if the German’s do own the company. This is not the first time a Bulldog has appeared in a commercial for the Mini, but we are told these new ads are far more creative.
The 2014 BMW Mini unveiling will be held in two places at the same time, the MINI Plant in Oxford and London, UK. We will get to learn those all-important new BMW Mini specs, pricing and its final release date.
