New BlackBerry Torch 9800: Price and AT&T Release Date

If you were impressed by the five official photos of the new BlackBerry Torch we posted earlier, you were probably wondering exactly how much it will cost and when it will become available from AT&T.

Luckily this information has recently been revealed, it looks like AT&T will be the only U.S. carrier offering this smartphone (however this may change in the future), it will be available from Thursday August 12 and will cost $199.99 as part of a two-year deal.

On this date it should be widely available from the official AT&T website (here), BesyBuy, RadioShack and Wal-Mart stores.

As always there will be plenty of contract offers available, therefore we will go into full details at a later date, one thing worth noting is that the Torch requires a data service, which at the moment start at $15 per month.

So what do you make of the price? Too much or just right?
