New Apple TV : iPhone OS and only $99

We have some exciting news to bring you; Apple look like they will be going to offer a new version of Apple TV. Joshua Topolsky of Engadget is reporting a source that is close to Apple has confirmed some details of the next version of the Apple TV. The project has allegedly been under development long before the announcement of Google TV.

The biggest news about the device is the price $99, no your eyes are not deceiving you. New features of the device will the fact it will be based on the iPhone OS 4, so it will get the same components including the A4 CPU. Flash storage of 16GB will be built in and it will feature full 1080p HD. The device will be small and likened to an iPhone without the screen.

Local storage will not be the devices main focus but storage clouds will be preferred option. An option to utilize a Time Capsule will be available for users who like to keep their content close to hand. Apple is not expected to officially announce the device at next month’s WWDC.
