Earlier last month we reported that a MacBook Air upgrade was imminent, we thought that it was a great idea to offer a wish list of what we would like to see — as you could imagine a more powerful processer and better battery life was top of the list. Another thing that needs addressing is how hot the thing gets and noisy when it needs to cool itself down, I should know — I am typing away with one now.
Chris Brandrick from PC World wrote an article also in May where he looked more closely at a possible upgrade and if there was any future with the MacBook Air? The problem is, there seems to be no place for the MacBook Air now, it was released at a time when there was no tablet devices — now that there is do we really need an expensive device like this?

Ars Technica also thinks the same thing; Chris Foresman has taken a closer look into this catch 22 that Apple is in.
Do you think that there is a place for the MacBook Air? Do you think that a price cut is needed as Apple now has the iPad?
