New Apple iPad: On Demand HD Video From Envivio

The new Apple iPad tablet device is beginning to get more support from website video services — more proof that the lack of Flash Player support will not hold it back. The latest is that Envivio will offer On Demand HD Video with the use of its 4Caster C42 video encoding/transcoding platform.

This service will be available via Wi-Fi or 3G, but you will need to wait until the iPad 3G is released later this month. This news will certainly go down with new iPad customers, and will not be the last to offer its support for this latest hot gadget.

The On Demand HD Video service will offer premium pay sports and movies on the tablet device, as well as the iPhone. The service will not only be available in the U.S. and Canada, but also Europe and the rest of the world.

Those who have an iPad and wish to see a demonstration of the service in action, then please visit the Envivo website.
