New Apple iMac 2010 Lineup: Price and specs

We know that Apple has launched four new products in their lineup today; we have already discussed the Magic Trackpad — now it is time to take a look at the new iMac 2010 lineup. The main difference with the new range is the CPU options from Intel – Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7.

Apple has upgraded a number of other features to offer fast and smooth performance, these include an ATI Radeon HD GPU, an SSD upgrade option as well as an IPS panel — much like the iPad. Darren Murph from Engadget is a little surprised that Apple did not throw in the Magic Trackpad for free, but they have to get their money back for all those free bumpers and cases they are giving away.

There are four models in the new iMac lineup for 2010: 21.5-inch: 3.06GHz, 21.5-inch: 3.2GHz, 27-inch: 3.2GHz, and the 27-inch: 2.8GHz. Prices start from $1,199.00, $1,499.00, $1,699.00 and $1,999.00 respectively — all come with free shipping within 24-hours.

The low-end Apple iMac comes with a 21.5-inch display, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 500GB hard drive and an ATI’s Radeon HD 4670 GPU. The top of the range offers a 27-inch screen, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 1TB hard drive with an option to upgrade to an SSD, ATI’s Radeon HD 5750 GPU and much more.
