Nelson Mandela tribute a wonderful touch by Apple

Nelson Mandela may have passed away, but he definitely hasn’t been forgotten. The iconic man who strived for equality and peace has been given a lovely tribute by Apple. Head to the company’s homepage now and you’ll see that there are no products in sight – just an image of the great man in one of his many famous poses.

Pictures really speak louder than words on this occasion we think. Apple has picked a great image of the man for everyone to look at, especially the younger generation who are now finding out through Apple what testing times Nelson Mandela had to ensure in order to make the world a better place.

Apple does not often shut down their homepage as most of you are well aware, so it’s great to see this tribute in place over the weekend as we all mourn the loss of such an inspirational man.

Give us your best memories of Nelson Mandela, and your thoughts on Apple’s new homepage. Rest in Peace Madiba.
