NBA 2K15 Kevin Durant cover after MVP

It has been a good week for Kevin Durant it seems. After just hours since being crowned as the NBA MVP 2014, Kevin Durant will now also feature as the main NBA 2K15 cover star as well, taking over from Lebron James who had the honor on NBA 2K14.

The news has just been announced, as well as confirmation that the NBA 2K15 release date will be October 7. You’ll be pleased to know that the game is still coming to PS3 and Xbox 360, but you’ll want to pick up next-gen PS4 and Xbox One copies instead if you want the best graphics.

Now that the Oklahoma City Thunder star has been confirmed as the cover star for NBA 2K15, you can go ahead and put your pre-order in with GameStop or Amazon.

We’re still waiting for some NBA 2K15 gameplay to land, but we have a feeling that we will get a good look at Kevin Durant in NBA 2K15 when E3 2014 arrives next month.

Give us your reaction to the fact that Durant is the main man ahead of Lebron for this game – is it a good choice in your opinion considering that he’s just been voted NBA 2013-14 MVP as well?
