NBA 2K14 PS4, Xbox One patch 3 with Kobe injury

We have a heads-up to all NBA 2K14 players now, as a PS4 and Xbox One update has just gone live over the weekend. If you have been having issues with the game, it’s a good idea to read through the full patch notes that we have for you.

Interestingly, we can see that 2K are trying to make the game as realistic as possible. When you install this update on PS4, Xbox One and current-gen platforms, you’ll see that Kobe Bryant’s knee injury has now been reflected in the game.

This means that his stats has been altered to show a -13, meaning that he is now 80 overall whilst carrying this 6 week injury. For those interested, Glen Rice Jr has also had his stats lowered in this update due to injury – he now has an overall rating of 54 after losing -12.

That is just two of the key changes in what is a massive NBA 2K14 update on all of the platforms. If you play this game on a daily basis, you’ll need to read the patch notes in full here over at 2K’s website.

Take a look and let us know if your problem has been fixed in the game. Are you surprised to see Kobe given a -13 due to injury, or is this a good thing in your eyes to keep the game realistic with real-life events?
