myTouch gets T-mobile official seal of approval

Yesterday we had the news of T-Mobile’s November road map leaking, and details of a variety of incoming devices. Now today we have news that the myTouch devices by LG have been given the T-Mobile seal of approval.

The two devices have long been rumored to be in the pipeline, and now the carrier has released details about the two entry level handsets. GottaBeMobile are reporting that the myTouch and the myTouch Q are aimed for people getting a smartphone for the first time.

Of the two handsets the myTouch has the bigger touchscreen, but the Q model has a slide out QWERTY keyboard. They will both be running Android 2.3 upon release, and will also be able to access the carriers 4G HSPA+ network.

The two smartphones will be using the 1 GHz Qualcomm ARM processor, and will both feature a five megapixel shooter that has 720p HD video capture capability. Alongside its 3.8-inch touchscreen display, the myTouch will also have a front facing camera. It will also be able to use Swype functionality.

Meanwhile the myTouch Q has the QWERTY keyboard in landscape orientation, as well as a 3.5-inch screen that is the same size as the screen found on an iPhone 4. Although T-Mobile has officially announced the two handsets, they didn’t divulge information regarding exact release dates and pricing.

There have been previous rumors that suggested the two devices were going to cost around $129 alongside a two year contract with the carrier. Are you interested in the two upcoming LG handsets?
