MW3: Kill confirmed, Team Defender – First gameplay and details

Modern Warfare 3 will introduce a few new multiplayer modes to Call of Duty fans as you expect, and Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Gaves have just unveiled a few of these modes to us in another gameplay preview video which is definitely worth a watch.

Infinity Ward has always said that they were always looking for new ideas to keep the Modern Warfare experience fresh for fans, and with their new online mode called ‘Kill Confirmed’, it looks like this is going to be one of the most popular online modes in the game.

Kill confirmed will be similar to Team Deathmatch, but instead of just picking up points by killing members, you’ll get points for your team by picking up the dog tag that they’ll drop once you kill them. Every player will have a dog tag, but in an interesting twist, you’ll be able to pick up your teammates dog tag if it’s dropped, which will deny the enemy that kill and save one point for your team.

Experience points will be available for just killing an enemy, but you’ll also get extra XP for picking up their dog tag, as well as a crucial point for the overall team score – this looks like a pretty cool mode to us, what do you think?

One of the other new modes in MW3 multiplayer willl be Team Defender. This mode will be similar to Capture the Flag, but the big difference here is that teams will have to just keep hold of the flag for as long as possible to rack up XP and team points, rather than deliver the flag to a certain location like you would in the standard Capture the Flag format.

Finally, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer show off the new and improved match customization options, which will allow hosters to set up strict criteria for matches. This could be turning off all perks, having just pistols only, switch on third-person mode only and so on. You’ll then be able to save your custom game mode and share it online on Call of Duty Elite so your friends and other MW3 gamers can see it and use it if they want to.

Check out the video below to see the new modes in action – which one do you think you’ll be playing more, Team Defender or Kill Confirmed? Gun Game is going to be pretty addictive we feel so that will probably get a good portion of our time.
