MW3 DLC Content Collection 1 price could be costly

We have some important information for those of you who have been waiting patiently for DLC maps to finally appear on Modern Warfare 3 for those without an Elite subscription. Activision has just confirmed the first DLC collection pack, but as usual it will be available on Xbox 360 first, so PS3 owners look away now.

So far, Elite subscribers have had three new maps to play before anyone else – those being Liberation, Piazza and Overwatch. Now though, Activision has confirmed that the next content drop for Elite members will contain a brand new map called Black Box, as well as two new spec ops mission titled Black Ice and Negotiator. Elite members on the Xbox 360 will be able to download this content on March 13.

Now then, as for those of you on Xbox 360 without Elite, listen up. Starting from March 20, you’ll be able to pick up all the DLC released so far for the game, which includes the four new maps as well as the two new spec ops missions listed above. However, there is no price for the content yet so we’re still waiting for Activision to announce this.

Black Box looks particularly fun as you’ll basically be slugging it out around a crashed plane site, with players having the option of either taking the fight to the ground, or inside the crashed plane itself. Activision has released the first image for Black Box above, to give you an idea of what to look forward to.

So there we have it – not much love for PS3 Elite users as normal. There’s no date for Black Box yet, but then again most of you will still be busy with Overwatch anyway. The big question now though, is how much are Activision going to charge gamers for four new maps and two spec ops missions. More importantly – how much would you be willing to pay for the new content?
