MW3 10th Prestige hack, lobby and glitch warnings

Now that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has arrived people will be aiming to Prestige as quickly as possible so they can show of the MW3 10th prestige badge / emblem (you can see all of the emblems here). Today we just wanted to remind you of the risks associated with joining so-called 10th Prestige lobbies, trying out glitches which are said to fast-track you to 10th Prestige and attempting to hack the system to rank up quickly.

Firstly let’s talk about 10th Prestige lobbies, you can see evidence of what a hacked lobby is here. Basically it unlocks every title, challenge, emblem and ranks you up to top prestige upon entering a multiplayer game thanks to someone in the lobby having a “jtagged” Xbox 360, but FourZeroTwo recently revealed that Infinity Ward would not stand for cheats and Infinity Ward’s dedicated team have the ability to apply both temporary and permanent bans. On a personal note I really don’t know why someone would do this as titles, emblems and challenges give the multiplayer experience longevity, not only this but if someone can do this imagine what else they could do to your account.

If you head over to YouTube and search “mw3 10th prestige” you will see lots of videos with thousands of views which claim to show you how to hack MW3 to reach 10th Prestige. We are not saying that these methods do not work, buy they often require you to install software on your PC which is associated with malware, sometimes people also ask for payments and link you to short URLs, which hide the true nature of the site you are visiting. In our opinion most of these hacks are in fact scams which people are making money out of – so stay well clear!

Finally we will quickly mention glitches, in every game glitches are found which allow people to take advantage of exploits to gain an edge over the enemy (MW3 is no exception, see here) – but you must remember that Infinity Ward has access to full to game stats and can even watch back the footage to see any foul play following reports, so you are running the risk of getting banned.

Have you been sent messages over Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network advertising 10th Prestige Lobbies for PS3?
