We have some good news for those of you in the UK that have been patiently waiting to get your hands on the Motorola Xoom tablet. Motorola has just confirmed pricing for both the WiFi and 3G versions of the device.
As expected, the Xoom won’t come cheap in the UK, as the cheapest version available is the WiFi-only model for £480. If you want to buy the 3G version instead, you’ll have to fork out an extra £100 since it will be available online and from retailers in-store for £580, as reported from Engadget. Confirmed retailers in the UK so far are Carphone Warehouse and PC World, but you can expect to find it at a lot of other places as well, such as Currys, Staples and direct from network operators as well.
In our opinion, £480 is not too bad for a device which features top of the range specs such as a 1Ghz Tegra 2 Dual-Core processor, Android 3.0 Honeycomb, a 2MP front camera, 5MP rear camera, 1GB of RAM and much more. Futhermore, the device is available to pre-order now so you won’t have to wait much longer to get your hands on one in the UK.
What are your thoughts on the pricing? Is £480 acceptable for you or not? You can view more information on the Motorola Xoom product page here.
