There were a number of new handsets unveiled during the Motorola / Sprint event that took place today, including the Photon 4G and the Motorola Triumph Android phone. Although we don’t a price and release date for the Triumph handset yet, we do know that it’s coming to Virgin Mobile.
As Brian Heater over at engadget.com recently reported, the Motorola Triumph has a Qualcomm MSM8655 processor under its hood, and comes with a super slim, soft touch design, a 4.1-inch WVGA touch screen display with a 800 x 480 resolution, 512MB of RAM and it runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS.
The Triumph only comes with 2GB of built-in storage, but it does have an SD card slot for extending the device’s memory. The handset features a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a VGA front-facing camera and HD video capture, as well as an HDMI output to enable image sharing via your HDTV.
It also comes pre-loaded with the Virgin Mobile Live 2.0 application, which provides users with access to the company’s music stream, live music performance videos and check-in features at special events. Other specs include a 1400mAh battery, microUSB, and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
