Motorola Kobe / Diablo: AT&T Release is not a Droid

For those of you who are looking to upgrade your phone on AT&T, we have details on a new Motorola handset that is rumored to be landing soon. Previously known as the Motorola MB520, we now have a few possible names for the device.

As reported from Engadget, the MB520 has been given not one, but two different codenames. They are the Motorola Kobe, and the Motorola Diablo. According to Engadget, Kobe may be the name after release, as Diablo may just be the internal name at Motorola HQ.

No hints as to what specs the Kobe/Diablo will possess, but Engadget do say that the handset will come with Android 2.1 and a custom version of MOTOBLUR.

Are you interested in this handset or not? It doesn’t look as if it will challenge any of the Motorola Droids on Verizon, so it may be worth giving this one a miss.
