All this week we have been tracking the progress of the Motorola Droid Incredible OTA, some have said that they received it, whereas some report in anger that they have not seen anything — let us know what camp you are in?. However, we seem to have forgot about another handset due the upgrade, the Droid X, but we can tell you that the Android 2.2 Froyo update has been leaked.
Chris Ziegler from Engadget learned this news from My Droid World, and points out that the update is not due for another few weeks yet. This means that the update that we have been talking about is un-official.
According to MyDroidWorld.com, the update is available as rooted and non-rooted; more details on how to install this can be found here. Just remember that you download and install this un-official update at your own risk.
The official Motorola Droid X Android 2.2 Froyo update will come with a number of enhancements, such as flash support and other features designed to improve the overall performance of the handset.
Will you take the chance with this early Droid X upgrade or wait for the official release?
