Motorola Droid: Android 2.2 Froyo Update (FRG22D) – Release Date Details

We have some good news for Motorola Droid owners now, as we have details on the next Froyo build, due to hit your handsets shortly. This build is the FRG22D and comes with some notable improvements from the last Froyo update.

As reported from Phandroid, FRG22D will be landing on the Motorola Droid sometime today (August 24th) – according to a Verizon document obtained by Droid-Life.

The update will bring a downloadable version of Adobe’s Flash 10.1 Player to the Android Market, while there are also a few changes to software which will improve security on the Droid. If you encountered any bugs in the previous build (FRG01B), there is a good chance that FRG22D will fix them up.

We’re not sure what exact time the update will be available, but let us know when you get that notification!
