Motorola Droid: Android 2.1 update release this week

We have some good news for Motorola Droid owners now, as the carrier has just announced via their official Facebook page, that the update to Android 2.1 will be rolling out to customers throughout this week.

As reported from Pocket-Lint, Motorola firstly apologized for their lack of updates regarding the highly anticipated Android 2.1 update, but thankfully confirmed that it will be available to everyone before the end of the week.

They also stated that they will be giving further information for updates on other handsets, so make sure you keep your eye on further updates this week.

We are hearing that the update is already available for some users in Europe, but are you one of them? If you are a Droid / Milestone owner, let us know what you think of this.
